Discovering the Problem Space

We sent out a survey and held interviews with college students near and far to learn more about events on their campus.

Reflection

Reflection

Booth made me appreciate the need and value of design iteration. With a 10 week timeframe, it was tempting to just want to move on to the next part of the design process rather than keep testing and iterating. Sometimes it felt like we were falling backwards, but in reality, we were taking the necessary time to ensure our designs were sound and just.

Key takeaways:

  • Design decisions fueled by research are not only a need, but a requirement

  • Separating yourself from your work makes taking feedback a lot easier

  • Saving and naming your files will save a lot of time, confusion, and frustration

  • Open and consistent communication is key
